About the Wilderness Lodge Villas
Experience the great outdoors at the Wilderness Lodge Villas! Enter a beautiful lodge reminiscent of the national park hotels in the American Northwest. This property enjoys a secluded setting in the woods overlooking lovely Bay Lake in the Magic Kingdom resort area of Walt Disney World. The villas are part of the Disney Vacation Club timeshare. Rooms are available for Disney Vacation Club owners or can be rented.
The Villas at Wilderness Lodge opened in 2000. The popular Disney Wilderness Lodge resort connects to the villas by way of a short covered walkway. The lodge building
is constructed of warm woods with a vaulted lobby area, fireplaces and cozy
seating areas with rocking chairs. An outside patio also has rocking chairs
overlooking a peaceful piney forest.
The Carolwood Pacific Room is off the lobby area and has a fireplace, rocking chairs and railroad memorabilia including railcars from Walt Disney’s railroad in his backyard. The Iron Spike Room is a sitting room with a fireplace.
The Villas
The Villas at Wilderness Lodge offer 136 villas. The available villas include studio, one bedroom or two bedrooms. Disney can create additional two bedroom villas by combining a studio and one bedroom via a connecting door. The Wilderness Lodge villas are some of the smallest villas on Disney property. Rooms have balconies or patios.
The room décor is western, rustic and somewhat “cowboyish”. Rooms have warm woods, lantern lights and red plaid curtains. The effect feels country and warm, though unsophisticated. Rooms include kitchen (or kitchenette in studios), DVD player, hair dryer, vacuum, pack 'n play and in room safe. Jacuzzis and washer & dryer are in all units except the studios.
Remember that there is no daily housekeeping service. Villa check in is at the Wilderness Lodge main desk. Guests are eligible for online check in and express check out. Check in time is 4:00 PM and check out time is 11:00 AM.
Transportation to the Magic Kingdom is by pleasant boat ride. Buses
serve all other areas and are shared between the villas and hotel guests of the
Wilderness Lodge.
Recreation
Guests of the Wilderness Lodge Villas have full access to the
amenities of the adjacent Wilderness Lodge resort hotel. The hotel features a neat bubbling spring that turns into a waterfall and then into the pool. A geyser shoots water in the air to the delight of visitors.

It is easy to see why the Wilderness Lodge Villas are so popular. The Wilderness Lodge is exceptionally beautiful and chock full of things to do. The villas exude a warm cozy feeling that will allow you to relax and unwind. The proximity of the Magic Kingdom is another plus of this great resort. This is a great place to return to at the end of a busy day in Walt Disney World!
