Disney Wilderness Lodge will transport you to the heart of the National Parks of America's Northwest! Inspired by the great Yellowstone’s Old Faithful Inn, this deluxe Disney hotel is breathtaking! The resort feels like a huge glorious log cabin in the woods with a breathtaking grand lobby, nice rooms and great amenities.

About Disney Wilderness Lodge
Set among towering pines on the shores of beautiful Bay Lake, Disney World Wilderness Lodge is a masterpiece. The hotel opened in 1994. The warm pine log lobby is a magnificent seven stories high with a floor to ceiling stone fireplace, teepee lights suspended from the ceiling and two towering 55 foot totem poles. The fireplace is 82 feet high with varying colors of stone representing the layers of the Grand Canyon. The lobby is decorated with Native American artifacts and leather furniture. Rocking chairs can be found around the fireplace and on the balcony overlooking the central courtyard.
Exquisite attention to detail is found from small characters under the check in desk to the design of the hardwood floors. Outdoors you hear the soothing sound of crickets and spot animal foot tracks in the cement. Animal shaped topiaries are found on the grounds. The resort has several hidden Mickey’s (the front desk has a list.)
Disney Wilderness Lodge is filled with quaint small spaces and hidden
sitting areas with fireplaces. The U-shaped building curves around a
courtyard with a pool. The view is sensational. A bubbling hot spring
starts in the lobby. It then runs outside and
turns into a creek and a roaring waterfall before continuing on to the
the free form pool and into Bay Lake. A steamy geyser erupts a spray of
water 120 feet in the air every hour.
Villas at Wilderness Lodge with the Disney Vacation Club are adjacent to the main lodge. Disney Vacation Club guests can partake in the hotel amenities.

Recreation & Amenities
The Disney Wilderness Lodge has a free form pool with a fun slide and kiddie pool. There are two relaxing hot tubs and a pool bar. The Villas of Wilderness Lodge has a quiet pool.

The Wilderness Lodge Disney World also hosts hotel tours and a unique Conversation with Steam Train Expert at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge. Each a day a flag family is selected to go to the roof of the hotel to help raise the flag. The whimsical Electric Water Pageant Parade can be viewed on Bay Lake every evening.
Wooden plank ways meander through woods, past to the pool and geyser to the charming boat dock on the lake. Take a delightful boat ride to the Magic Kingdom. Buses serve the other theme parks.

The Wilderness Lodge is an awesome resort! This is one of my family's all-time favorite places to stay in the world, not only Walt Disney World. The Wilderness Lodge is an architectural masterpiece and a peaceful retreat
from the madness of Walt Disney World. This hotel is truly a destination unto itself and worth visiting even if you do not visit any theme parks.
