The family suites afford more options for large families or those seeking a little extra room or privacy, but you will pay a higher premium. New Disney family suites are featured on this property. The resort has a total of 1120 family suites in the Lion King, Cars and Finding Nemo sections. Suites can accommodate up to six guests plus and infant in a crib.
Suites feature:
The Little Mermaid section hosts 864 standard hotel rooms that sleep four plus an infant in a crib.
Animation Hall is the main building at the center of the resort. Animation Hall contains the colorful check-in and concierge area that is decked out with a rainbow of lights.
Animation Hall hosts Pixel Play arcade, Ink and Paint gift shop and the Landscape of Flavors food court. Sketches from the animation movies are in display in the lobby.
This resort offers excellent customer service we have come to expect from Disney.
Nestled on the shores of Hour Glass Lake across the Pop Century resort, the resort was originally planned as an expansion of the Pop Century. A pleasant 1.38 mile long jogging path circles the resort and a bridge crosses over the Generation Gap Bridge to the Disney Pop Century Resort.
The newest Disney value resort hotel pulls you directly into the story.
The Disney Art of Animation Resort makes you feel as though you are a character
in one of the movies. The buildings,
pools and landscaping in each area are themed.
Buildings feature rudimentary storyboard sketches that reflect the development of the stories. Other buildings are richly painted and act as scenic backdrops to their respective storyline.
Large icons from the movies adorn the resort. The images are visually appealing and kid-friendly, not gaudy like other value resort icons.
Landscaping, albeit immature, is themed as only Disney can do it. Like other areas of Walt Disney World, the landscaping matches the theme. The Cars area is a dry, dusty desert. Finding Nemo transports you under the sea with seagrasses, while the Little Mermaid area feels like a rustic seaside. The Lion King section has a jungle-like feel.
Art of Animation features three pools. The centerpiece Big Blue Pool in the Nemo area is the largest pool on Walt Disney World property. With zero entry and an underwater sound system, the pool is truly special.
Two smaller quiet pools are located in the Little Mermaid and Cars areas of the Disney Art of Animation Resort.
Disney Art of Animation Resort is fun! Come for a visit and be transported into the Disney animated classic movies.
