No Fridges in Resort Rooms Temporarily
Refrigerators are being removed from Disney resort rooms due to a manufacturer's defect. Disney expects to replace all the refrigerators within the next four months. This affects Aulani and Walt Disney World resort rooms, but does not affect Disney Vacation Club rooms, Art of Animation suites, All Star suites or Fort Wilderness cabins since they have a different sized fridge.
Disney to roll out new refillable mug pricing structure
Disney's new "Rapid Fill" program will utilize radio frequency identification (RFID) in their refillable mugs with a new price structure based on the number of days purchased. Instead of paying a flat price you will pay based on the number of days you will use your mug. You can purchase the mug for a specified time frame and then it will deactivate at the end of the time period. Prices are $8.99 for one day to $17.99 for length of stay (four or more consecutive days). You will not be able to use mugs for future visits and cannot use old mugs. This program is starting in July at the All Star Resorts prior to rolling out at the other resorts. The mugs will still be included in the Disney Dining Plan.
