Polynesian Resort

A stay at the Disney Polynesian Resort will allow you to relax and enjoy some of the the most romantic and relaxing rooms at Walt Disney World Resort.

This resort hosts 847 hotel rooms in 11 longhouses across the lushly landscaped property. The longhouses are two or three stories high and are named after South Pacific islands. The longhouses were refurbished in 2013.

As one of the original Walt Disney World resorts, the Polynesian has spacious rooms with about 415 to 479 square feet of space. The rooms are decorated in a tropical island motif. The decor is a bit dark, but rooms are comfortable and well appointed.

The rooms can sleep up to five people plus an infant in a crib with two queen beds and a day bed. King bed rooms were added to the resort in 2013. Polynesian rooms have a small table with chairs. A separate vanity with twin sinks is outside the bathroom. Polynesian rooms rates start at $474 per night.

Room views are standard, lagoon and theme park view. Some rooms have views of the Magic Kingdom theme park. First floor rooms have patios. Some upper floor rooms have balconies.

The rooms have:

  • Coffeemaker
  • iPod docking station
  • Safe
  • Iron
  • Hair dryer
  • Fridge

Suites are in the Tonga House building.

Club level (concierge) rooms are in the Hawaii and Tonga longhouses. They have garden, lagoon or theme park views. The club level guests enjoy nightly turndown service, concierge services and snacks throughout the day in the two story lounge that has a view of the Magic Kingdom.

The Polynesian hotel is expensive, but very popular with families. You simply cannot beat the incredible theme, romantic atmosphere and access to the Magic Kingdom.
