About the Resort
Bay Lake room by Darren Witko
The northern wing of the Contemporary Resort was demolished to make room this modern structure which opened in 2009.The property offers home-like accommodations in vacation villas available to members of the Disney Vacation Club (DVC). Villas can also be booked through Disney like a regular hotel room or you can rent vacation club points from a DVC member.
Check in is at 4:00 PM and check out is at at 11:00 AM. Bay Lake Tower has a separate check-in area open 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM. During off-hours, check in is at the Contemporary Resort. Disney
Magical Express drops off Bay Lake Tower guests at the Contemporary Resort main entrance.
You must be a guest of the Bay Lake Tower to enter the building. A bridge goes from the 4th floor concourse of the Contemporary or Bay Lake Tower can be entered from the ground floor.

The property has vacation villas equipped with kitchens. The
different types of villas are: studios, 1 bedroom, 2 bedroom and 3
bedroom Grand
Villas. The decor is very modern and chic with modern art and splashes of Disney to
add warmth.
Rooms
have iPod docking stations and free wi-fi. Views offered are standard,
Bay Lake and Magic Kingdom. Studio villas start at $431 per night.
The property has a private outdoor deck on 16th floor overlooking the Magic Kingdom. The view of the fireworks is spectacular. The Top of the World Lounge on the 16th floor serves drinks and appetizers.

Housekeeping in the Disney Vacation Club villas is different than a regular hotel. For stays of a week or less, housekeeping trash and towel is provided on day 4. For stays over a week, a complete cleaning is included on day 4 with trash and towel on Day 8. Additional and more frequent housekeeping services are available for a fee.
Disney transportation arrives and departs from the Contemporary Hotel. The monorail goes to the Magic Kingdom, Polynesian and Grand Floridian. Epcot can be reached by monorail, but a transfer is required at the Ticket and Transportation Center. You can also take a short 5-10 minute walk to the front entrance of the Magic Kingdom. Boats go to Wilderness Lodge and Fort Wilderness Campground. Buses are available to all other areas.
