The Animal Kingdom Lodge offers some of the finest resort dining in all of Walt Disney World with three excellent sit down restaurants and a quick service place.
Boma offers an extensive buffet meal for breakfast and dinner under a thatched roof. The restaurant offers excellent African food that delights guests. The restaurant is very popular and is one of the better values for buffets at Disney World, so be sure to make Advance Dining Reservations.
The breakfast buffet serves excellent juice, African coffee, omelets made-to-order, pastries, quiche, fruit, cereal, pancakes, potatoes, carved ham, oatmeal and french toast.
The dinner buffet has grilled and roasted meats, excellent soups, hummus, breads, whole grains, salads and pastries. The zebra domes dessert is loved by many.
Boma has many kid-friendly items and also vegetarian entrees. Do not be afraid to try Boma if you have picky eaters in your party. The selections range from standard American fare to truly authentic African food and all of it is excellent.
This bar is near Jiko. It serves wine pairings, mixed drinks and appetizers. The Jiko menu is also available.
Jiko is an award winning restaurant and one of Walt Disney World's best signature restaurants. The food has a combination of African, Mediterranean and Indian influence. This fine dining establishment serves steaks, chicken, fish and vegetarian entrees. Jiko is vegan friendly and has excellent service. The menu changes seasonally. African spices add flair to the cuisine for an excellent dining experience. The food is flavorful and unique. A children's menu is available.
Jiko offers a very extensive list of wines from South Africa.
The lovely dining room is a great setting with large windows overlooking the courtyard and imaginary birds flying from the ceiling in a scene inspired by the opening of Lion King. Two large ovens are at the center of the room.
This pool bar is located at Kidani Village. Serves mixed drinks, beer, wine, sandwiches and salads.
Sanaa is an excellent restaurant offering Indian and African cuisine. Sanaa is one of the most underrated Disney World restaurants, but the word is getting out and the restaurant is gaining popularity.
The food is excellent food, but might a bit exotic for some. They will make the
food as spicy as you like or not spicy at all.
This attractive restaurant resembles trees creating a canopy above your head. Large windows line one wall and give very nice views of the savannah. The restaurant is on the African savannah with live roaming animals. There is a nice exterior walkway where you can go outside to watch the animals up close.
Sanaa is in the Kidani Village section of the Animal Kingdom Lodge, which houses only Disney Vacation Club Villas, but no regular hotel rooms.The location is a bit remote. Parking seems far from the restaurant, but it is worth the effort!
Sanaa is open for lunch and dinner. You can see the animals best
during the day, so make your reservations for during daylight hours. The Sanaa Lounge is available on a first come basis and serves salads, appetizers and drinks. The Wine Flight is available as well.
The Mara is the quick service destination at the Lodge. You can purchase and refill your refillable Disney mug here. The food includes chicken, burgers and flatbreads. The food is good, but expensive. The seating area is a bit small, but there is also seating outside.
Cocktails, beer and wine are served at this pool bar near Jambo House.

Room service is also available from 6:00 AM until 12:00 midnight.
You cannot go wrong with any of the restaurants at the Animal Kingdom Lodge. Each offers unique yet excellent food, great service in a beautiful atmosphere. The Animal Kingdom Lodge also offers free tours of their restaurants in the afternoon.
